Performer Refutes Anti-Vaccine Stance After Voicing Controversial Covid Documentary
Liam Neeson has provided his narration to a feature-length documentary that challenges the safety of immunizations and commends former cabinet secretary RFK Jr.
The Documentary's Provocative Basis
Titled "Plague of Corruption," the film is inspired by a bestselling book published by a disgraced researcher, who gained notoriety during the pandemic for claims that Covid was caused by a bad strain of the influenza shot.
Her co-author, the executive producer, has also written books with conspiracy-prone radio host the Infowars host. He took to social media celebrating Neeson's involvement in the project.
A Firm Rebuttal
Representatives for the actor have provided a comment pushing back against implications that he subscribes to anti-vaccine beliefs.
"Everyone can acknowledge that misconduct may occur within the drug industry, but that must not be equated to rejection of vaccines," the response explains. "Liam never has been, and remains not, anti-vaccination. His extensive work with the UN children's agency reinforces his long-held support for public-health initiatives."
It noted that the actor did not shape the film's narrative and that questions about its assertions ought to go to the filmmakers.

In the film, the script provided by Neeson features several provocative claims:
- It claims that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "blind obedience" to health authorities.
- It declares that "research has become deeply politicised."
- RFK Jr is shown stating, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they just aren't adequately tested."

The documentary also references a historical film about HIV drug testing on children, which was afterwards the focus of a formal apology by the corporation for editorial breaches.
Recently, Kennedy called on the national health agency to revise its long-held position that there is no causal relationship between immunizations and autism. This claim is repeated in the film, even with a recent study from the global health body confirming no evidence has been found.
A Previous Statement of Advocacy
Differing from the film's tone, Neeson has formerly expressed strong support for vaccines in his role as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.
In 2022, he described vaccines as "an incredible achievement," stating that "The debate about vaccines in recent years has lost sight of how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in history."
The documentary finishes with Neeson's narration saying, "This is not the conclusion of our story. Rather, it is the dawn of a new chapter."
